ANGEL

My heart keeps beating, but I still feel the pain. You touched the lives of so many people and brought so many smiles to all those young ones. The touch of your hand I will never feel; # 37 will never be out on the ice again. Safe, I do not feel, knowing that you are not here, nor will you ever be once again. Those eyes of blue are gone forever, the determination will never shine through now. Not Ever. Inside I feel empty and lonely without you. I feel you all around me and your memory so clear in my mind. An inspiration to me you will always be. From up above I know you are here, I'd give anything just to spend one day with you. Then again I know when the day came to an end, it would never do. I would be wishing for more days with you. An angel is what you have become

Good Bye for the Last Time

Roses of red & white lay neatley upon that casket top. A picture lays on a stand surrounded by flowers the colors of the rainbow. Rain drops fall upon the silent, tears roll down the faces of every loved one. Faces of the toughest men are soaked and moist , a mother weeps softly and she whispers good bye one last time. The sound of Amazing Grace fills the damp October air. Team-mates slowly kneel down in silence beside that coffin, and let tears fall like rain. A jersey and a stick are laid beside him. A note is laid down by a broken hearted friend. Inside it reads: You became more than a team-mate, you became a friend who taught me so much. The memories that were made will be cherished in my heart forever, in the short time I got to know you; I learned to do the things many said I couldnt. You brought life into the team when we needed it the most; you touched the lives of everyone you talked to. . I am so sorry for taking you away from this world, I love you so very much and I will miss you more then you know. Rest in Peace Snyds. Love you man, DH. Slowly 26 team-mates walk back to the bus. 500 hockey players put their heads down and walk on by. Some whisper " I love you" others whisper "Rest in Peace." The great one walks on by not able to say a word. With tears in his eyes...

The day the world lost a very special man... 1978-2003
